When life gives you bowling balls...

As promised - a large, cumbersome, black bowling ball bud vase! I was a little worried that it would crush my green Hornsea dish but I had to balance it on something. Strange enough, bowling balls seem to want to roll around everywhere.

The Black Beauty!

The name "Eva" has also been engraved on the ball. My friend Shane always tells me that his drag queen name is going to be Eva Destruction, so that's what I've decided to name the ball.

These tulips are so pretty. I'm loving spring time. I've only got a couple of weeks left before it's scorching hot and going outside feels like a punishment rather than a pleasure.

Thanks for stopping by. I've got some exciting posts planned out this week. I'll be doing another friend feature, checking out some new uses for Pyrex and I'll be announcing a Spring giveaway at the end of the week!

  1. Hi Flo
Firstly I can't believe I'm still awake...it's 3.25 am here! Secondly, I absolutely L-O-V-E your bowling ball vase. Genius! It looks brilliant with tulips and against that gorgeous grey wall of yours. Definetely worth all that drama with the meany in the thrift shop.
    That's it...goodnight x

  3. That is amazing - insert heart emoticon here cos I can't be bothered to google for one. Very creative - I wish I could plagarise your idea but don't fancy the havoc my youngest would wreak with an untethered bowling ball.

My favoured drag queen name (discussed many times with gay friend at my old job - we had many) was Carla Nabulance...

  4. Carla Nabulance! Haha! I love it =D I can't imagine the destructive joy a child would achieve with, as you put it, an untethered bowling ball. Heck, even I want to roll this thing into some walls. I'd say better safe and sorry!

  5. I love Eva Destruction- a very whimsical arrangement!

The heat is already punishing here in Florida. I wish I could be at the beach in my Tiki Hut every day...Well, I don't really have a Tiki Hut, but I will one day...
