Thrift Share Ahoy!

Hi there, fellow thrifters. I'm starting with my favorite find this week because I'm so excited about it. I found this amazing ship at a thrift store. It seems to be cast iron and super heavy but the front of it is all brassy.

This industrial Dazor swing arm lamp came from the same thrift shop where I had the bowling bag incident. The ladies were all very sweet and helpful during this trip. And the lamp was well worth the stop! I'm pretty full on lamps around the house (which means I have waaaay more than I need) so this bad boy will be heading for my Etsy shop.

I found a great little stash of old Ball and Mason jars. These old jars are pretty common but I love them anyway. The color on this jar is particularly appealing to me.

The detail on the glass is so cool. I hate to take the "they don't make 'em like they used to" stance... but really they don't make 'em like they used to!

Thanks for reading! I can't wait to see everyone's finds for the week. I'm linking up to Apron Thrift Girl's Thrift Share Monday and Her Library Adventure's Flea Market Finds. Tune back into tomorrow for another Vintage Hot or Not!

  1. That jar is fab, and if only they were common around here I imagine I'd have quite a few. I love the way you've staged the ship too, it looks great there.

  5. Lakota - Funny you mention the staging in that photo. When I brought that ship home my boyfriend hated it and it was going in the Vintage Hot or Not feature. But when he saw my picture he said it looked too good and I couldn't use it anymore. Haha. I agreed since I never thought it was a "questionable" find anyway.

  6. Lovely finds! I have the same Ball jar and I definitely agree...they don't make things today like they used to. :)
