Starburst Thrift Share

I hope everyone is having a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend. I'm going to spend the holiday bbq'ing at my dad's house =D Afterward, I'm going to play some Texas Hold 'Em at Casino Arizona. I've had a great weekend so far. I hit an estate sale Friday that had some really cool mid century stuff but they were so overpriced. Luckily the sale was about a half mile away from my favorite thrift shop (The ARC in Tempe) so I stopped in after the sale and found this lovely Franciscan Starburst pitcher.

And this serving bowl in the same pattern.

This is a lovely pattern and oh so atomic, but it's not one I collect. I'm firmly devoted to the Corelle Spring Blossom dish set (also known as Crazy Daisy), which I had growing up. They're my every day dishes. My "fancy" dishes are Canonsburg Temporama, which I'm super in love with. So, these pretties are destined for my Etsy shop =)

Earlier in the week I hit a couple of Goodwills. Most the stops were a bust but I did manage to find another Treasure Craft piece to add to my growing collection! I swear I turn into a five year old when I see Treasure Craft, it makes me so happy!

Here's a close up because the details are too gorgeous to ignore.

  7. Have a wonderful memorial day!

The starburst pieces are great, they have a good weight to them. I recently came across some Canonsburg Temporama pieces, it was the first time I'd seen them but the pattern definitely caught my eye!

  9. Cool finds!

I hate overpriced Estate Sales! It also seems like some of the Thrift stores in the Valley are becoming a tad overpriced too...what's a girl to do??? ;)
