Store 'N See Pyrex Happiness!

I stopped by a Goodwill Thursday on my way home from an estate sale. It's not a store I hit often and haven't had much luck there in the past, but like more thrifters, if I'm driving by I've got to stop! So I walk in and the first shelf I stop at is stacked with See 'N Store Pyrex containers in Avocado! I found seven of them in great condition. No cracks, chips, all the seals are there and the lids are perfect. I've already got two of these, so this find brings me up to nine.

Then on Friday I stopped by another estate sale and picked up two Wildflower See 'N Store canisters! This brings my total up to eleven!

These are so pretty and whimsical. I just love 'em.

At the same sale, I found two Spice of Life salt and pepper shakers. So cute!

There are as many reasons to love Pyrex as there are patterns - but one big reason is the versatility and practicality. I love being able to use Pyrex in my every day life and these canisters will be a huge boost to organizing my kitchen in a way that makes me happy.

  1. Hi,
I love Pyrex too! But I have to ask, are these plastic? And what year(s) are they from?
    Love your blog!

  2. Hi Crystal! The lids of the Store 'N See containers are plastic and "Made for Pyrex" - the actual containers are made from borosilicate glass - like the beakers Pyrex made for scientific use. They made these containers from 1968 to 1986. Here's an interesting link to more info about Store 'N See! Thanks for stopping by, glad you like the blog =D

  3. Ooh, love the simplicity of the avocado lid ones. Great collection.

  4. Such great finds! I have the pyrex dishes that match the jars in the last photograph. I love little jars like the ones you found. they are scattered throughout my kitchen :-) xoxo

  5. -Awesome- finds. I'm in love with the avocado lid set!

  6. Hi Flo! I just found your blog and I love it :) Would you be interested in trading those Spice of Life Salt and Pepper shakers? I have some Pyrex to trade that you can see on flickr. My flickr name is katieskrafts if you are interested :)
